Hi I'm Martin Hipwell, I was born and lived in England, had 4 years in the British army, before working on my dad's farm. After which I drove trucks around England, Europe and even to Turkey and Romania. I got interested in beekeeping ending up with 40 colony's. I bought a woodturning lathe and made some toys for my nephews. In 2005 I moved to Canada, driving trucks across Canada and the USA. In 2018 I sold my truck and decided to buy a wood lathe and other machinery to do woodworking as a hobby. One of the 1st models was of my Peterbilt 379, I drew my own plans from photos and measurements. Each model got a bit more detailed. I also make a model of a Fokker DR1 tri plane and a Sopwith Camel ( both from my own drawings ). I make coaster's, cutting boards, serving boards, lazy susans, step stools and a range of toys which I designed myself, which I sell at Farmers markets using the markets as a shop window, for the custom side of the business. As well as designing and making coffee, nesting and end tables which I stain and finish to customers requirements, I make anything from models and house hold goods to small furniture.
